| 576481 | 2007-08-04 22:53:00 | I always wanted to own a house by the time I was 35. Now 37 (38?) and still renting. It may happen yet (wheres lady luck when ya need her) I guess my goal has changed a lot since then too. I never intended on having kids, and my only true goal at the moment is to ensure she is provided for |

| 576482 | 2007-08-04 22:54:00 | Vista? Moving to Vista makes as much sense to a gamer like me as moving to a Linux distro - or for that matter, a Mac (shudder). I have no overwhelming desire to play Halo 2 - and I can't see game developers coding games exclusively for DirectX10 for some time yet ("some time yet" in computer terms means a year or so.) Sorry to go off topic there... |

| 576483 | 2007-08-04 23:07:00 | I wanted to be a signwriter. But 99.9% wouldn't take girl apprentices when I left school. Oh well. Then one day husband bought a C64 home and it all went from there. His goal was for me to be a programmer or something that made way more money. Oh well. Did get the old house with no mortgage, but had to move to accomplish that. |

I am getting Vista Ultimate soon just so I can play DX10 games to their full potential (mainly Bioshock)... I am a gamer... and I am going to Vista... seems logical with DX10  |

Yeah well, I haven't got the machine to play any recently released game to its full potential - Intel Dual Core 2.8 GHz, 2GB 533 DDR RAM, Asus N7900GT TOP. I'm assuming that you're running a Dual Core, 8GB RAM, 2x 8800GTX Ultra SLI rig then? Otherwise you'll probably be turning off the eye candy that justifies DirectX10 - just so you can get the frames per second to resemble something other than a slide show. |
