1436625 2017-06-25 10:00:00 Hey guys

I've been using my 2600k for quite some time now, and recently the whole system has died. I'm at least 99.9% sure it's the motherboard, and I'd like to get a hold of another one to check without spending a fortune. Trademe has some fairly bleak prospects, I really don't want to be spending more than about $80 for what effectively is a 5 year old second-hand motherboard, and most stuff on there is at least $150 or something silly.

If anyone has a spare one and is willing to let me buy it off them or have it, even temporarily so that I can test the rest of my system, that would be absolutely amazing.

Cheers,

I guess its because the sellers would have to split up a working PC, working cpu/mb combo , in order to sell just the mb.
Then they would be left trying to sell a lone CPU

With trademe , allways the chance the mb is faulty if sold on it own . Ive been sold used mb's that had intermittent faults

1436630 2017-06-26 09:51:00 Cheers for the replies guys, I had a look at Aussie Ebay but once you factor in shipping cost it's still pretty expensive. I think it might be time to grab a 6 core Ryzen... skeptile2 (16539)
1436631 2017-06-26 21:16:00 Why bother? Time to upgrade. MB, CPU and ram....

There is only so long you can persist with the old stuff.
