Sure , do a rule change re nationality, but make it ALL or Nothing , team members , boat DESIGN and construction. And sponsorship .All or nothing. Not a partial rule change thats suits NZ . Design and construction (mm) that was one reason they went fro the standard cats 0 to keep the cost down, so that more teams coudl enter. Sponsorship (mm) No more Emirates Team NZ, or BMW Oracle That would give a big advantage to US teams as they have global conglomerates. |

Maybe he's the young, fresh-face the Team wanted to represent it. Maybe Ashby didn't want the P.R. stuff. Maybe Kiwi's would prefer a Kiwi. Who knows - the whole team made a hash of the presentation ceremony. Unprofessional and yobs - the shot of that young guy drinking out of the cup was repugnant and did nothing to enhance the team/country, and then throwing away bags given as gifts from a very influential sponsor. Stupid. |
