If they're not, it tells you that they don't actually think it'll provide that big a boost. Lets use council and govt funds for more important things. |

The city is the bottleneck! All Shore and Western traffic feeds into the bottleneck of the Southern motorway and all traffic heading north runs into the same bottleneck. Take a broad-brush and do a complete revamp and come up with something that will work. Goff's eyes are gleaming much more than usual looking at the money tree that a defence of the Cup will bring - tosser!!! |

Its racked up a huge debt burden , with huge interest payments sucking out even more money Ak council is running on debt & has been for years. Cant just keep spending on the credit card . Some for NZ Govt . Figures for benefits to the local economy are often just made up, pulled out of thin air & repeated without question as they sound so good. Some plan is needed, we'll be a laughing stock if races cant start due to sailors being stuck in traffic somewhere , or Teams cant find suitable building for their bases . Perhaps Ak CBD is the worst place to base all this around . |
