I post the above link from 2011. I had problems with putting hyperlinks in Publisher documents, but wonder if this is still the case?

1436622 2017-06-25 06:58:00 What I was talking about was:

After I had inadvertently installed Chrome on my PC desktop in 2009, when I tried to put a link into a Publisher document - it wouldn't work. :(

At the time (2009), and again in 2011, Wainui advised me that the problem was the installation of Chrome, and guided me through a successful edit of the Registry to fix the problem. I was just wondering if the same problem still existed i.e. problems with links in both Publisher and Word after the installation of Chrome now in 2017?

1436623 2017-06-25 07:22:00 Sorry if this doesn't make any sense :D Thank god for spall check :D Its been wine o'clock for a short while ;) ------- BUT same applies, try changing the Default browser back to IE/EDGE.

In W10 --in search, type Default Apps settings --- Open it, then select Web Browser -- clcik to open, select Edge, "shoulddddddd" Fix it.

1436624 2017-06-25 07:53:00 Just to clarify - at the time (2009 & 2011) - I wasn't using Chrome as my browser (but it had been inadvertently installed on my 'puter). I was using IE, but apparently the installation of Chrome was enough to stuff-up the use of hyperlinks in (for me) Publisher. Apparently the same would have happened in Word. At the time, you guided me through a registry edit, which I followed VERY carefully! And successfully too.

As I use Publisher for the Newsletter I do for the local camera club, since then I have been very careful never to reinstall Chrome onto my machine.

So - I was just checking to see if the same situation still applied with Chrome having a flow-on effect into the use of hyperlinks in Publisher.

I have recently had browser issues with my bank's (SBS) new website, and having to change from IE11 to Firefox to access my bank safely and consistently! Funny things to happen on the way to the Forum apparently. :)
