| 758714 | 2009-03-23 05:35:00 | I download what I thought was google chrome. However, it just turned out to be a file that tried connecting to the internet to 'install' chrome. The problem is that computer is on vodafone (slow when it used to connect, expensive, unreliable). So using this computer on broadband I downloaded chrome again (must have deleted the previous file). But on running it automatically downloaded and installed with no warning. So uninstalled since the owner has no intention of using chrome. Back to round 1, | JaceKiwi (2561) | ||

It downloads the rest off the net Other programs do the same thing. ie: (Yahoo, windows messenger) Unless you can find the bigger install file. Which will install all of the program, so you wont have to wait for the rest of it So, if the owner doesnt want it, whats the point in getting it in the first place? |

It was downloaded on that particular computer because of the speed and reliability of the internet connection to be installed on a computer that has a slow/unreliabe connection. The computer the download is for will handle the program just too expensive to download files. | JaceKiwi (2561) | ||

The problem is that Google doesn't care and if you want to use their program you have to use it their way, and by that you have to install their stupid updater. googlesystem.blogspot.com |
