When you have kids, controlling their use of the Internet—or of the computer itself—can be a daunting task. Windows XP's Internet controls are lacking at best, as are its account controls. Trying to set up several users with their own accounts, while using a single administrator account to control it all, can be a daunting task.

578588 2007-08-09 06:57:00 What is it with you? You're the macfan and antiWindows so why post this stuff all the time.
Anyway they're idiots too, you could do that in XP.

Indeed I am an enthusiastic Mac user although that doesn't stop me from suggesting a PC laptop as a recent purchase for a guy who I contract to as it was the cheapest available option that he could afford although had there been a similarly priced MacBook available I would have suggested that.
I also posted the link about the Linux video since I thought it was very interesting and impressive.

578591 2007-08-09 08:09:00 In my experience people still don't understand User Accounts under OS X either. You find that every account is an administrator one with no password set. Then there are tons of files/folders of documents outside the User's home folder. You also find them littered with Windows installers and executables which is amusing. gibler (49)

As it was we were both happy with the PC laptop selected.

I didn't find it that hard when I set mine up on my iMac.
