577285 2007-08-15 21:49:00 Oh well, looks like xenophobia still rules. Have a look at this: www.stuff.co.nz

Chinese foods safe - some NZ foods dodgy... Ooops. (well, perhaps Chinese foods aren't totally cleared of some issues like antibiotic residues, but...)

577287 2007-08-16 04:01:00 There seems to be some confusion between the use of, and meaning of the words 'sanitarium, sanatorium and sanitorium'. The latter two are probably interchangeable.

Maybe I meant sanatarium. These words are looking increasingly weird to me now!

WTF??????????????

Are you serious?? How did you find that out? (I assume it's not printed on their packaging, lol). I live just down the road from where they supposedly make their jam.

A lot of companies import raw materials (i.e. frozen fruits + veges) and produce the product here, as "Made in New Zealand". There's a particular Watties product which escapes me at the moment, which is made from imported fruit at their factory in Hastings, and labeled as "Made in New Zealand".

Well, would you rather buy: 'Made in New Zealand' or...

'Made in new Zealand from imported and reconstituted ingredients sourced from foreign countries where they do not wash their hands' ?

And you think going on about it here is going to change things?

Are you mad?- of course not, people need something to bleat about. Here we have two fine examples of rhetorical questions.

Sorry, that should have been: Jesus, are you mad?
