Of course women can multitask.

It's the reason that you see so many of them text messaging and driving at the same time.

Too late - that policy was activated years ago. It was (and remains) located on an irregular planet of a variable star.

Untrue the server is located on one of the Fairfax luxury Gin Palaces (yachts) that cruise the south pacific with PC World staffers in a permanent alcoholic haze (with Jan and Juha wearing horned helmets) and the clock time we see is relative to their position in the south pacific

577391 2007-08-14 04:53:00 As this poll is timed to end at 11.?? am tomorrow (Yeah, right), it seems
time
for
a
Bump.

Not to mention time for an answer to: "What happens next?"
(The poll deviser didn't mention that.
A copout..?)

Votes as of now show 17 people want it fixed.
A handful of members - 5 people - doesn't.
And another 17 people couldn't care less.

By my standards of "keeping the customers happy," that means you can ignore the don't-cares. Because they don't care.

So those who find it daft that a computer forum can't set (and keep) its clock right seem to be well in the majority - so far
(and there's still time for those of you who haven't voted)

Jan's original post said: get voting compadres.
I'm saying the same thing now.

(But why do I feel we don't have the same goal in view?

Cynic, moi?)

577392 2007-08-14 04:56:00 Hey it took a team of 45 people 3 months just to create the start menu in Vista so maybe the team at PC world might be a tad short staffed and pushed for time when it comes to fixing the forum clock:p winmacguy (3367)

re: forum clock

we are actually on it. A bit of patching needed for the upcoming daylight savings change, so should happen around then.

I hope you're not suggesting the PC World team isn't smarter than those Bill Gates relies on?
I just assumed Auckland could beat Silicon Vally hands-down.

( But yes, Bill's clock does work perfectly..).

Possibly they aren't but putting the smartest people altogether in a room doesn't always guarantee you a great product - if it did Vista would be fantastic and selling like hot cakes.
Sometimes it just takes a small team to get the job done right.
