759082 2009-03-25 03:53:00 If the laptop is set to obtain automatically, it will pick up what ever the router settings are at what any location.

If you have Xnet at home set the router to your xnets user account.

If you have xtra Via work available at home as well, the ADSL at Xtra has to be told the phone number (home) to connect to.

In other words - if work uses Xtra, you cant just simply put in xtras details in the router at home - it wont work.

759083 2009-03-26 09:05:00 If you are using ADSL all you need to do is set up your user account details in the modem/router, (for the appropriate ISP) then set the PC, on the LAN connection, or wireless connection to obtain An IP address automatically. The router/modem does the rest.

I did this, and checked to see what settings it had automatically detected etc, and they were the Xnet settings I had manually put in earlier, so that shows the router and internet connection must be speaking the same language, you would think.

Still can't access trade me via typing in the address on the address bar though.

Are there any other settings I should be looking at adjusting etc?

 :(

759085 2009-03-26 09:15:00 Umm is this your laptop or works??

If its works, they may have blocked them in the hosts file?

What version of IE is it, and what service pack is installed?

Hiya,

Yes this is a new replacement work computer, running on IE 7. Another work colleague has an older laptop that doesn't appear to have any probs logging onto a whole range of sites - and even plugging my laptop onto the network at work today still resulted in the same way. Our boss has the same problem too, but his too is one of the newer models. So I'm guessing it's the settings somewhere.

Thanks. :)
