2009-03-23 20:42:00 | You may need to rebuild the Icon Cache -- Its possibly damaged. Click the start orb, type in CMD - in the results, Right click, Run as Administrator Bring up the task manager - CTRL+SHIFT+ESC Shutdown Explorer Process from the Task Manager In the CMD window go to C:\Users\<ProfileName>\AppData\Local Do the following command: attrib -H IconCache.db Do the following command: del IconCache.db Do the following command: start explorer This should rebuild the Icon Cache

2009-05-26 01:49:00 | Thought you would all be fascinated to know that this problem has recurred. This morning when I started up (not on wake up) all desktop icons were absent. Taskbar icons still present. Show desktop icons is ticked and when I untick it then tick it again the icons reappear. Anyone?

2009-05-26 02:09:00 | Hopefully the Auto update is smaller than the full update package - Which is 476.20MB (www.imagef1.net.nz) - Should be. | wainuitech (129) | |
2009-05-26 02:15:00 | Hate to see what the 64 bit update is then if thats 476 mb | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2009-05-26 03:25:00 | DONT LOOK Speedy (www.imagef1.net.nz) -- Seems it may be both - Auto updates should be a LOT smaller - one would hope so any way. | wainuitech (129) | |
