The issue is what format Joe Blogs wishes to pay to get movies at home to watch (not own). Personally if we had the capabilities in NZ I would prefer to just have a movie sent to me via the internet for a small charge. |

Had several recording failures in a week:-( A HDD recorder with BluRay would be nice, like the HDD DVD R ones at the moment, no idea if they will make those in time or not. |

You can do all that already, either with DVD or recording to HD...for a couple of hundred dollars, I have no idea if a Blue Ray recorder is even available, But my guess is it would cost plenty, and a compatible recordable disc would cost over $100 (at a guess) |

In fact,I thought that the storage capacity was what it was all about,am I wrong? |

In fact,I thought that the storage capacity was what it was all about,am I wrong? It can hold a lot more, But the hook is that capacity is used for high definition video, Which makes for a more detailed picture when viewed on a High Definition television. Its overkill in a normal situation, Television broadcasts are very low quality in comparison, and current Hard disc recorders can record something silly along the lines of 400 hours of television.... |

Bugger, one of those will have to do then. |

The Sky upgrade was to correct a stuff up with the new D2 sat. Sky switched to H Pol on 1st August which means critical dish alignment changed from "side to side" to "up and Down" you may need a tech to come out and re-align your dish. Good luck. |
