| 758957 | 2009-03-24 05:52:00 | I just installed FEAR 2 but I get this problem at startup (see attached screenshot) I have a Realtek ALC850 with the latest drivers and the DirectX update that came with FEAR2 was installed. Running in Windows XP Home. I checked the readme and hardware acceleration is on full. Edit: Sound is now working after running the latest DXSetup from microsoft's website, and installing the "optional" extras/SDK :badpc: Figured I'd post this anyway just for fun |

| 758958 | 2009-03-24 06:05:00 | Umm I had a similar prob with some game. I think it was one of the free games from gameplanet. It wouldnt run without the update. I had to do the same thing, update DX. Dont know / or think it was the SDK tho. BTW, there's a March DX update now. Is that the one you installed? |
