| 578061 | 2007-08-08 07:45:00 | NASA TV ST118 mission. For those people living in and around Auckland who have an interest in NASA TV and this launch Orcus will be providing uninterupted telecasts from Today on wards. We have recently installed a new standards converter so the picture quality has vastly improved. For those people wishing to view NASA TV in and around Auckland Orcus operates two transmission points 1: Sky Tower Auckland Frequency 12338 S/m 27500 Fec 7/8 Vertical Pol 2: Waiatarua 12338 27500 Fec 7/8 Horizontal polarity . Reception If you can see sky tower then a 35cm dish will efect reception in 99% cases, we have tried 60cm dishes of various brands and the elevation has to work to -10 degrees to see the transmission points. If the dish does not quite see the signal due to elevation problems a gentle slope on the pole will fix , some satellite dishes only work as far as 0 degrees elevation. The L band frequencies are 12338 -11300 = LBand 1038 Mhz 12338- 1100 1338 L band |
