2007-08-07 04:42:00 | I just saw the YouTube flick on Beryl (thanks ziggy!) and I am impressed to the max . Where can I get it? I'll fire up another SOYO for this if it's available! What's the system requirements?

2007-08-07 07:41:00 | What's the system requirements? Linux  Do you reaaaaallly wanna go there again SJ? You also need to get your vid drivers 3D capable... easier said than done as I followed the instructions *cough* with a recent install of either Mint or similar. From memory Beryl kicked in OK on Mint but not another distro. Was fun to play with for a while, then I was over it.

2007-08-08 01:28:00 | I have Sam Linux on my machine and it came with beryl working pretty much out of the box I think you just had to tick the enable 3d effects button, and sam linux installed as easily as any other linux i have used recently, as in no problems whatsoever | Morgenmuffel (187) | |
2007-08-08 08:30:00 | Beryl forked back into the Compiz project and is basically discontinued. Check out http://compiz.org/ for more information. I had Beryl running on my notebook a few months ago (Feb/March) but it was while I was booting Vista, XP and Ubuntu so it wasn't exactly the most stable it could be. Was a bit of a hassle getting it going but was glad when it finally worked out.

2007-08-08 21:03:00 | Nup, never... Basically, it'll work on a puttload more than Vista would, lets put it that way ;) Ive found it uses very little system resources, you should be fine :)
