| 760025 | 2009-03-27 08:07:00 | hi guys and girls, i have some peripherals that require usb2 but i'm not sure how to identify those ports. i have seen advertised somewhere a plug that indicates if usb2 is active. is there a simple way to see what version usb ports i have. i have quite a few older laptops and desktops and it would be handy to know which had what or what had which...whatever..? thanks | itwasntme (14759) | ||

If there's entries here, it supports USB2 You can also find out if you put a USB2 flash drive / device into a USB 1.1 port. It'll bring up a message It'll also have the option in the BIOS (wherever the USB option is - Hi speed) |

| 760027 | 2009-03-27 08:13:00 | Welcome to PF1:) It should say in the manual. Also, in device manager, if Enhanced USB is there then it supports USB2 Or, if you want to find out if the pc has USB 2.0, go run>MSINFO32.EXE and navigate to Hardware Resources > IRQs, then copy and paste the info there, and we can check that for you. Or just google the motherboard model no. it gives you Blam |
