759552 2009-03-25 19:19:00 I've been running my screen at 1680×1050 since I built it, and dismourning when I turned it on it had reverted to 1024x768 and it wont let me turn it back up. pantera989 (14533)
759553 2009-03-25 20:07:00 When you right-click on your Desktop and goto Properties, then click on Settings, what does it say in there about your monitor / graphics card? Chilling_Silence (9)
759554 2009-03-25 22:19:00 Try reinstalling/updating your GFX card Blam (54)
759555 2009-03-26 00:10:00 Just uninstalled drivers, then reinstalled new drivers downloaded directly from nvidea website. Now when i turn on my computer, when it gets to the bit where the login screen would normally load, the screen turns of with a "no input" message. Im having to write this from save mode.

Edit: In Safe mode I can turn my resolution back to max.

759556 2009-03-26 00:34:00 So on start up, after the monitor turned off, i switched it to the 2nd DVI slot and it came back on?
Except it doesn't seem to be able to detect the native resolution, and my old resolution of 1680×1050 doesn't show up as an option.

Edit:Restarted computer to see if would save settings, did same thing when hit login screen, and had to change plug back over to the orginal DVI port tog et it turn back on, and all my screen settings had reverted back to 800x600 and still doesnt give me the option for 1680×1050

759557 2009-03-26 02:26:00 Definetly a driver problem. Try using a different version or something.

If you can-boot into a live cd/bart PE and check if you can make the resolution higher.

If you can its a software problem

759558 2009-03-26 03:34:00 By that you mean like a ubuntu live CD?
Also the screen is "unknown display device"

I'm using the latest drivers, where can you go to get old drivers?

I made no changes of any kind to the computer before this problem occured

759560 2009-03-26 06:09:00 Just reinstalled the OS but still having same problems, could this be a problem with my screen or somthing? pantera989 (14533)
759561 2009-03-26 07:05:00 Just reinstalled the OS but still having same problems, could this be a problem with my screen or somthing?

Doubt it. Since it works fine in Safe Mode.

Maybe try the integrated GFX and reseat the GFX card
