580150 2007-08-13 10:24:00 I would rather see the requirments raised right across the board, Make it real, take the fools off the road, keep them off, destroy their cars, lock them up.

And stop wiping peoples fines ***.

Couldn't agree more.

I would have thought raising the driving age was a no brainer YEARS ago. But nothing has ever been done.

There are terrible idiotic drivers of all ages all over NZ. Do something about the lot of them.

How many more people must die on the road before someone in parliament even raises the issue?

580151 2007-08-13 11:54:00 Bad driver training + Young driver + High spec jap import + alcohol = problem.

On a side note. Some people are saying that a persons car should be crushed
if person breaks law more than once. I say the driver should have to destroy his own pride and joy.

580152 2007-08-13 12:03:00 I really don't think the high powered cars are the big problem. I have taken a stock 1989 1500cc Nissan Sentra over 170kmph. roddy_boy (4115)

could run a show like distraction, using their car for the grand prize obviously. if they don't answer the questions, drop a wrecking ball through it

Don't expect a sensible answer.

The earlier the better before they know everything..... about 10 years old would be best.
My lads were driving at 15.

580159 2007-08-13 22:16:00 I'm not joking about the younger age.
Most males seem to get their cars mixed up with their sexuality, start them driving early before they turn into testosterone junkies.
