| 579351 | 2007-08-11 09:56:00 | .............Or the dickhead in the white Hyundai who drove at 65 all the way into Wanganui around 4 this arvo, 45,895 cars behind him/her/it......and no way to pass coz of all the oncoming traffic. I followed them into the suburbs coz there was gonna be some SERIOUS road-rage, but they headed off into places I didn't know, and I figured they were unlikely to give me directions after our little chat....:p No cops for miles, but do 108 on the Foxton/Himitangi Straight, and they're bloody everywhere! As you can tell, it was a fun drive!! :lol: :lol: I came across a right ****bag today, driving from Rotorua back to Wanganui, South of Taupo, big wide passing lane going uphill, I pull out and pass 3 cars, sitting on about 115 at the most, there is one car about 150m ahead, No worries, I can easily pass them without increasing my speed, I check the rear vision, a silver station wagon is sitting on my tail, No worries.. ...The car ahead seems to have slowed so I drop a few km's off my speed, catching up, no worries. ...The *&^$%#$% pulls into the passing lane, Just to cut me off. So, I accelerate until my bumper is nearly in their backseat, young ****s are having a bit of a laugh, I then pass them on the inside,swerve in front of them, jump on the brakes, I then extend my arm out the window, point at the driver and give him the finger, Doing my best to look mean. Surprise surprise, No more laughter or **** eating grins from their car. |

Is that why they do it:horrified :horrified I thought it was because they liked me - I guess I fit that demographic that would do a runner :stare: When I politely decline their help for the petrol, my windscreen gets washed... Now that I have got to try next time. |

Since living in Auckland on and off for the past 20 years helpful service seems to be a thing of the past. To get good friendly service I would have to give it to the South Islanders, particularly out in the country towns. A recent trip down that way reminded me how friendly they are down that way compared to modern city people. |
