Electric, Bio etc. Electric Minis that are comparible with a normal Mini, Hondas the same. Electric Motor Bikes. GM have a new design team looking at future cars with a skateboard style infrastructure with electric engine on each wheel and interchangable bodies like wagon, ute, sedan etc that just clip on. Maybe not too many years away. |

Maybe not too many years away. I saw the GM skateboard a few years ago. GM also had an electric car that they leased, they have since taken them all back. The U.S car makers have found it cheaper to fight the new emission laws then to develop a car to meet them |

| 579851 | 2007-08-13 09:52:00 | I've been browsing through Digg this afternoon and came across an article about Segway inventor Dean Kamen's new work. www.ecogeek.org (www.ecogeek.org) The question must be asked though... why are eco cars so damn ugly? Wouldn't it make sense to integrate these new technologies into something affordable and relatively familiar with the everyday consumer? Thats rubbish. I have a Lexus RX and the hybrid looks exactly the same as the petrol verson. |

| 579852 | 2007-08-15 06:32:00 | This is the old false generalisation problem. Modify the question to: "Why do some eco vehicles appear ugly to me?", and the immediate answer is "For the same reason that some conventional vehicles appear ugly to me". Tastes vary. |
