579189 2007-08-11 02:24:00 May I ask what difference does gender make?

If you assume that xyz is female and posts a question would you give a different answer if xyz is male?

Now if xyz posts,"Should I breastfeed my child in public?" then you could think that xyz is female.

A long time ago I knew what I was. Not anymore however.

For the record I was born Male and still am that way.

Why are you confused?

So I apply for a position and have to adress my covering letter to Mrs, Miss, M/s, Madam, Mr, Director of human resources, Dr, Professor,Master and etcetera.

Helen Clark is married to Peter Davis. Helen is not known as Mrs Davis.

Quite a lot when you try and apply for network engineering positions and they look at you like you should be on a helpdesk instead.

579197 2007-08-11 04:01:00 Anyone can tell that Jen & Sue & I are girls.

Anyone who's a regular here knows that pctek & beetle are also.

But I made a recent mistake assuming B.M. was male ( Sorry again, B.M.) so agree there's an occasional mystery.
Whether it matters is another thing...

But yes, I'm sometimes curious about "unisex" names.
