| 579075 | 2007-08-11 06:05:00 | Pretty much anyone who wants to teach in a demand field (maths, chemistry, physics, te reo, and others I can't remember) can get their fees paid in the way of a scholarship. You also get a $10k living costs payout. Yeah, rob, there is more need for male teachers, but the scholarships are open to anyone. |

| 579077 | 2007-08-12 00:47:00 | Is it true there are after male teachers? Just curious as I heard they giving out some pretty hefty grants. I'd consider becoming a high school teacher for 500K a year plus bonuses. I wouldn't work in a creche in Christchurch for less than ten million an hour. |
