760161 2009-03-28 04:28:00 Can anyone help with a problem relating to my DVD drive. For the first time in awhile I have loaded the PC World DVD and although the autostart works I can only get a window entitled Index Notepad on the screen, which is full of gobligook text. I cannot get the normal "Homepage" to come up. Please help!! Trevornchris (11918)

The only thing I can remember doing to my computer is a disk cleanup today (Windows Accessories) and yesterday uninstalled Google Chrome.

760164 2009-03-28 04:48:00 Looks like the default browser has become confused because you uninstalled Chrome.

Open Explorer and navigate to the DVD drive.

Right click index.html and choose open with. Choose to open it with IE or whatever and choose always do this action.

760166 2009-03-28 05:19:00 Right click the DVD drive in My computer and select explore.

Then right click Index.html and go to "Open With" then select Internet Explorer. Tick "Always use this program to open these types of files"

760167 2009-03-28 05:55:00 Make IE the default browser for all web related files - open IE - tools/Internet Options / program Tab - click on Make default - click OK. wainuitech (129)
