Looks like they need some cash, selling off their old website.

Lots of unanswered questions on the auction, just the way they operate their business.

I can't see it is worth 1K let alone 30K though.

760488 2009-03-29 19:55:00 Does this mean you are selling C1 Shopping Mall, or just the coding behind the website? It will be a sad day if this is the end of C1 posted by: wiifm69 (61 ) 4:35 pm, Sun 29 Mar
No, it's just the coding of the previous website. We have new one running up now.

760489 2009-04-03 02:27:00 I'll never purchase anything from them again!

The whole business seems to in disarray with this website "upgrade".

I've had good experiences with them in the past but I would advise people avoid them like the plague at the moment.

I recently tried to purchase a external hard drive from them. They quite happily took my money and after two weeks of no communication and several attempts to contact them they informed me the product they listed was out of stock and discontinued. They requested I change my item. I told them there was no suitable alternative and could I please have my money refunded. I received no communication from them for over a week so asked if they could change my purchase to a new product they apparently then had in stock. They asked for the difference which I paid and have then since heard nothing from them. Today I am unable to access their website.

They seem to be going through some sort of rocky change over with their website. Most of the websites fundamental features have not yet been implemented and support is sparse bordering on non-existent. I know they aren't answering emails but I've heard they are also not picking up the phone.

760490 2009-04-03 02:59:00 It seems that they have done a runner.
Apparently their shop is closed and the website is not up anymore either.

So what do we do about warranties. I have just had a 2 year old seagate harddrive fail, which I got from them, and has a 5 year warranty. I suppose we have to contact their distributer or wholesaler for warranty claims. Anyone know who C1 used? They were obviously trying to get quick cash from selling their old website on trademe. I suspect that they have failed due to the credit crisis and recession, as they had to sell on volume due to the small margins you get on computer parts. If you don't get the volume, you end up failing.

You should be able to do an RMA claim on Seagates website, they will then give you a return number and an address in Auckland to send the faulty drive to.
I think then from there it will get shipped to Singapore, tested and repaired or replaced and sent back to you.

760495 2009-04-03 03:34:00 Website is down and store is closed, police are looking for Won Il Kim who is apparently skipping the country. Bank accounts are frozen and they owe some $20,000 to wholesalers. trinsic (6945)
