| 581551 | 2007-08-16 09:24:00 | Damn, can you believe it, in too much of a hurry at the ATM!, walked off leaving $40 in it,:horrified :annoyed: only to realise 2-3 minutes later. Rushed back to the machine to see 1 16 - 17 yr old at the ATM, and his young mate in the passage side of the car on the road 1o feet away. I call out 'had they seen $40 bucks in the ATM' explaining I just forgot my dosh. 'no they answer however this could be the reciept. I accepted it from the young lad in the car........(duh!... why would they have my receipt?...) Man, they must have got the money, however youth today, do you think they would go...'oh here mate, just saw it blah blah.......' #$@!#%@!%@ Will I hope the scumbags use the money well and really needed it.....:angry |

I remember about 10 years ago when I was just small, I found 20$ on a path and handed it it in somewhere.. nobody claimed it so I got to keep it. Felt pretty good! |

Martynz Really....if so, wouldnt the bank automatically credit the account back?.....good idea though, most ATM beep for you to get your card, however dont when the money is there.... It was just a distraction the broke the sequence of taking the money...damn it. However, you would have to ask, what would the lad in the car want with my receipt unless he had taken it with the money..... Anyway, I am a great believer in Kama, you are treated by others as you wish, and treat others.......hopefully it will come back and bite the little toe rags.... I sometimes wonder where all the love and respect for others in the world is you know. I get a real kick out of helping people, i guess its harrd to understand someone else not getting that! <sniff> |

I get a real kick out of helping people, i guess its harrd to understand someone else not getting that! <sniff> Well this (www.nzherald.co.nz) will make you weep then, and this (www.nzherald.co.nz) might make you feel a little better. I will never forget the day my little purse, with about 15 cents in it, arrived in the post when I was five years old. It astounded me because I didn't even realise I had lost it but mainly because some kind, anonymous person had taken the time to send it back to me after finding my name and address scrawled inside. Even at that age I would never have expected to see it again once I had discovered that it was missing. I like to think that there are far more honest than dishonest people but sometimes I do wonder. |
