I Tried taking it out of the case and it booted, woohoo. now thing was it shut itself down after about 15 seconds instead of 15 microseconds. could this be beacause i dont have anything hooked up to it that i dont need to have hooked up. im going to try putting it back in the case now, if it helps i have the NZXT Alpha. |

I'd connect the KB/ mouse, monitor and HDD as well and see if it still boots fully - correctly. No point in reassembling it all if it is knackered.
Edited: I had a rush job yesterday ( yeah sunday :( ) same thing, press the button fans spin for about 10 seconds then nothing - was a dud PSU. |
