| 581635 | 2007-08-18 01:33:00 | I've sold computers with XP Pro COAs for less than that on Trade Me. That's how you get it cheaply. If you had the time, you could easily buy a PC with XP for around $100 (a pretty bad PC, probably around 1GHz), then take the sticker, wipe the hard drive and sell it for $70. MS allows this, provided you remove XP from the original system. I personally don't do this, but it's not difficult. If it's an OEM licence then you can't do this, as the T&C says that the licence cannot be transferred from the original PC. |
