I have several dvd's from my travels all over the show and from what I've read if I keep switching dvd's from region to region I'm going to lock it which I gather is what I've done. its a mash_ita dvd ram uj-850s ata drive (remove the _ ) any dvd doesnt work |

| 760881 | 2009-03-31 01:30:00 | I'm sorry to tell you but you will never get it working as a region free drive. I don't know what it is but Matsh1ta drives just don't seem to work with the likes of AnyDVD, DVD43, VLC etc. There is also no RPC1 firmware available for any of the drives that I have been able to find. My Dad's laptop has had it's matsh1ta drive stuck on Region 1 because of this :( I spent quite a few hours trying to find a solution for him but never got anywhere. |
