760659 2009-03-30 03:16:00 Hey guys n gals,

I am running XP SP3, All latest updates/patches.

I have recently noticed a small problem,
in "My Computer" a drive icon "Cd Drive (H:)" has appeared,
although it isnt a cd/dvd drive (I have Installed 2x Asus DVD+/-/R/RW Drives -Both detected and working)
I am just wondering how to fix this icon.
Im thinking run/regedit and deleting drive "H:" :stare:

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers,
Kmak (14774)
760660 2009-03-30 03:22:00 You sure its not part of an internal card reader / or a USB flash drive? Speedy Gonzales (78)
760661 2009-03-30 03:25:00 Nope, no usb drives connected, and no card reader connected (internally or externally) =S Kmak (14774)
760662 2009-03-30 03:29:00 What else is in the case?? 2x dvd, how many hard drives?

What happens if you double click on it??

Does it open / say it needs something? Says it isnt formatted?

760663 2009-03-30 03:30:00 if the Icons have gotten all screwed up - two things you can try -

1. Download TweakUI (www.winhelponline.com) - follow instructions from this site

Or
2. Download and run ShellIconFix (windowsxp.mvps.org).

"Please Insert Disk Into Drive H:"
