761852 2009-04-02 19:58:00 I was asked to turn a paper letterhead the company im working for uses into a default letter template for sending documents to clients, yet am unable to do so. Is it possible to convert a pdf into a usable word document? as i scanned the paper version as a pdf and thought i could get away with converting it. It turns out to be horizontal, back to front and as a image..... any ideas? aidanmaz (7180)
761853 2009-04-02 20:31:00 You could try this. (http://www.pdftoword.com/) CYaBro (73)
761854 2009-04-02 20:37:00 Assume you know that Word uses template files default one being "normal.dot". Presume you would make a new template file. If you can't find the templates location better post back with your Word and OS versions Ofthesea (14129)
761855 2009-04-03 04:30:00 Get hold of the company that does your printing, if you ask them nice enough they should send you an electronic file in what ever format is suitable. plod (107)
761856 2009-04-03 05:14:00 I'd agree with the get hold of your printing company, they may give, or you may me able to buy an electronic copy.

Last resort is you can try and scan it. Just do it pretty high quality (300 dpi or 600).

Yes you should be able to reorder you pdf, and split it to individual pages etc and rotate. If you get stuck you could PM me, and I could split the PDF for you if needed.

I deal in the area of high speed printing and archiving of statements etc, so have played around wit a bit of this stuff.

That should work, I've used that service a couple of times.

Otherwise, try the fully functional trial of PrimoPdf (www.primopdf.com) which is quite good for converting to .doc format.

761858 2009-04-03 07:17:00 Why not scan the paper version and save as a *jpg. Resize and only keep the letterhead itself. Open Word and insert the picture which only has the letterhead itself up the top. Save the result as a template. Sweep (90)
761859 2009-04-03 07:40:00 Agree with Sweep. All the little old ladies at our SeniorNet have similar setups, including personalised templates for their emails. Scouse (83)
761860 2009-04-03 08:32:00 Maybe just recreate it manually? If you had done that from the beginning you'd probably have finished by now... Agent_24 (57)
