2009-04-02 09:52:00 | A while ago I made the mistake of trying out software from Coffee Cup, and now I am permanently on their email list. I've tried many times to get removed, using their website, direct email etc, but nothing seems to get through. Clearly they are just intent on spamming me. Who do I report this to? Presumably their ISP, but how do I find out who that is? Anyone who can rid me of this pest will be my hero for at least a day :)

2009-04-02 09:53:00 | Block it, with something like poptray. Or make a rule so it gets deleted | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2009-04-02 09:59:00 | Yes, I can do that, but I really want to get them stopped (or at least slowed down) at source, if I can. | Tony (4941) | |
2009-04-02 10:01:00 | What email client do you use? Just create a rule to not even download the message off the IMAP/POP server from a specific address EDIT:All companies do it, its there stupid way of advertising

2009-04-02 10:07:00 | I use Outlook 2007, and what I want is to not just stop the emails arriving in my inbox, but try to bring at least a bit of external pressure on the company to stop it altogether. So while your suggestion will work, it doesn't go far enough for me.:angry | Tony (4941) | |

2009-04-02 10:22:00 | Try again from their website, they say they will not spam you . . coffeecup . com/legal/privacy/" target="_blank">www . coffeecup . com Been there, done that, made no difference - that's one reason why I'm so hacked off . Phone/fax them Toll Free (Domestic U . S . & Canada): +1(866) 734-HTML (4865) International: +1(678) 495-3480 Fax: +1 (678) 495-3481 I suspect I'll just end up (a) being on hold for ever, and (b) just get fobbed off . Report them http://www . ftc . gov/ Now that might be worth a try .

2009-04-02 10:39:00 | Please let me know when and what day I will be a hero, Tuesdays are good for me. Cheers :D Well, I've complained to the FTC, and also found another email address on their website that purports to go direct to their CEO and fired off a blast in that direction, so we'll wait and see what happens... Thanks for the links - can you feel the warm and fuzzies yet?
