| 761790 | 2009-04-02 07:13:00 | I've been trying to install a program on XP SP3 that uses SQL server 2000 desktop edition & it wouldn't install. I found a few posts saying that XP SP3 modified Windows File Protection & that is what is stopping SQL from installing, but no solutions. Has anyone else encountered this problem? The old PC died, the new one came with SP3 preinstalled & I don't want to reinstall windows (and lose all the other setup work I had done for their other software) if I can avoid it. |
