As one commenter at Plait's blog said, "At a certain zoom level I get pushpins for the 'Chicago River', 'Canadian Supreme Court', 'Manhattan Island' and 'Google Campus' right in the middle of Perseus and Auriga . I'm not sure, but I don't think that's quite right . . . . . . . . . Like other Google map products, Sky lends itself to layers and mash-ups that add additional information . Already built are layers showing the constellations, a guide to galaxies, the position of planets two months into the future and animations of lunar positions, with more to come as users contribute . " |
