583856 2007-08-22 19:25:00 ....goes to State Insurance.
Was sitting outside work yesterday with the rest of the staff having smoko (most of us don't smoke we just like sitting in the sun).
3 modern jap cars (about the size of Fiat Bambinas) all done up the same, each towing a trailer (about the size of the car) with a 3 sided billboard on each trailer. Even the licence plates were all consecutive.
Anyway, they pull into the carpark of a major retail store across the road from us, do a complete lap of the carpark, and then pull out (and I assume head off to the next retail store). Noticed the guy in the front was yapping on a cb too.
Advertising? Must be damned costly for all those State Insurance customers supporting these 3 lil P.O.S's

Now, I wonder if those cars were running eco-fuel? :p Doubtful

[As an aside, some of us were thinking of standing and jeering them as they drove off but the big boss was around. As we were outside work, and all wearing company logo's, it wouldn't have been a good thing. ]

We got stuck behind them around Featherston, on the way to Wellington a couple of weeks ago. Maybe they were there to try and keep people's speed down so as not to have claims against their company. They were in close convoy and had quite a few frustrated drivers behind them at about 70K. Probably lost a few potential customers that day.

I had a feeling that they were advertising AMI Insurance but it was 2 weeks ago! I rarely look at ads!
