| 583304 | 2007-08-21 04:41:00 | Interesting views but very true and can relate to the use of any OS I was a bit amazed last week to note that someone who wrote that the continued piracy of Windows was affecting the spread of Linux on the desktop was described as raising an "unusual" argument. No guessing where this kind of non-logic gained its mileage - it appeared on the site that provides "news for nerds, stuff that matters." www.itwire.com |

Windows use is also a habit - it is developed in the kindergarten, continues in school, goes with you to college and then into the workplace. It is very difficult to avoid the habit at home. Especially when there are lots of people to feed it. Well, no. I started out using a computer without an O/S, then moved to AmigaDOS and Workbench, then DOS6, then Winxxx. And no, I won't be using Mac O/S anytime soon. |

It is a similar reason that women who can afford to buy clothes from fashion labels such as Karen Walker, NomD, World etc as opposed to shopping at Postie Plus or The Warehouse because they can afford the clothes and they like the design innovation and style as well as being seen in designer gear. |

Designer clothes maybe more expensive, but probably pose less health risks then buying from the warehouse or postie post |
