| 583158 | 2007-08-20 20:34:00 | Newsweek article from August 20 (yesterday): In one of history's more absurd acts of totalitarianism, China has banned Buddhist monks in Tibet from reincarnating without government permission. According to a statement issued by the State Administration for Religious Affairs, the law, which goes into effect next month and strictly stipulates the procedures by which one is to reincarnate, is "an important move to institutionalize management of reincarnation." Link here (www.msnbc.msn.com). The article goes on to describe the underlying motive of this bizarre new law... I still think our politicians are dumber! :) |

If I comply with the reincarnation rule well enough, do I get a sort of get-out-of-jail-free card that I can show to parking wardens? | R2x1 (4628) | ||
