582994 2007-08-20 04:23:00 Anyone finding that the new page peal advert on the page, is dramically slowing down the forums. My page loading keeps stalling while it trys to load the advert. The advert doesn't even do anything when you click on it(I am using opera.) robbyp (2751)

583000 2007-08-20 06:50:00 For whom the Bell rings or Peals. :-) Or possibly even Tolls!

I use IE6 and Opera.

I see a smaller peel me in IE6 than in Opera on PressF1.
Due to page rendering I would guess.

Both browsers work fine here. My ISP is Xtra BTW.

Speed difference is not noticable.

I do not use ad blockers. Adverts do not annoy me as such. Focus on the content of the site.

At the moment, as I post this, I see an advert blinking away on the right of my screen. This for PCWorld.

My browser gets to ads.hostingdirect.com and then stalls, and after about 5 seconds it then loads. I think it is something to do with the ad server that it is hosted on. Maybe the ad server people are using cheap hosting that my ISP doesn't have a good route to.

As I have no idea to whom you are replying and as I do not happen to have pealing tools handy I will not manage to answer your question.

Sorry about that.
