583210 2007-08-23 07:53:00 Well Jan,

You should actually like bubble. I hope you get on well with those who are responsible.

Check out this. http://nz.answers.yahoo.com/

Is this the sort of Forum you want PressF1 to be?
I must admit I have not had time to give bubble a decent innings yet. I am not averse to trying it out.

Bubble is not bad in my opinion.

In the past I have gone on record to try and split PressF1 further into Win, Mac, Linux and etc.

If we, as a community, fail to help struggling users then I do not see what the point is. You appear to me to be coming with the new broom technique.

Have fun and ask the questions.

Let us not forget this thread:-

Bubble has ticked posts as you want to do possibly.

583211 2007-08-23 08:00:00 After what has undoubtedly been a tough weak for Xtra, the launch was a subdued affair with the ISP doing it's best to reassure everyone that it was on the right track. Kevin Kenrick, COO at the consumer division, Telecom, says the company was "hugely disappointed in how things have started."

I really wonder what a "tough weak" is.
Could anyone explain?

583212 2007-08-23 08:02:00 I merely asked the questions users in this forum wanted answers to. I was in the position where I could ask those in charge what many on these forums wanted to know.

The blogpiece is not a technical analysis of Bubble, which by all accounts looks like a good product. It was about the somewhat tricky roll-over.

I'm not bringing in a new broom.

I don't even own a broom.

quickedit : oh, and a 'tough weak' is playing on all the negative attention Telecom has received in the media, and in discussion forums around the country.

:)

that'll have to do for now :)

Spelling error on the first line of second paragraph, 'weak' instead of 'week'.

583215 2007-08-23 11:40:00 Alas, sank at the launching, never got to emulate the Titanic.

Yahoo have never had this problem before - but then they haven't worked with Hextra before either.

Back to the drawing board.

583216 2007-08-23 12:31:00 Truth is that the company providing the very backbone of the Internet in NZ know they have crapped in their own nest so badly that its time to jump into someone else's nest. The aspire to do it NZ but first they will go off-shore?, then what?, Nothing is what.

"Truth is that we are hosting in Australia, as it is significantly better than anything offered in New Zealand. We certainly aspire to eventually hosting everything here, but right now Australia is the better option."

And remember to support Telecom the same way they support NZ. God damn, this crap is retarded in every single aspect apart from whatever angle Telecom have got for their own interests, Though I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have a clue and have just thrown the alienated another chunk of the people they extort money from.

Xtra will have its hosting situated in Australia from now on, meaning traffic to and from New Zealand on their servers will be dependent on the Southern Cross cable. Jobs have moved from New Zealand to Australia as a result
