584241 2007-08-25 13:40:00 How about Earl Stanley Gardner and his Perry Mason series? Easily some of the best books I've ever read. beeswax34 (63)
584242 2007-08-25 22:04:00 All of Lee Child's books re: Jack Reacher. This is an author that I cannot get enough of. Also all of Nelson Demille, another great author of fiction.

David Baldacci is up and coming and I did like Stephen Coonts "Saucer" and its sequel "Saucer, the Conquest". I have just finished George Gibbs - Ghosts of Gondwana. This was a finalist in the 2007 NZ book awards, very good if you want to know how NZ and its flora an fauna came about.

584243 2007-08-27 01:58:00 I haven't had time to read in a while and am looking for some new authors, I really enjoyed Wilbur Smith, Robert Ludlum, also read several books from these authors, Stephen King (of course) Colin Forbes, Tom Clancy, Bryce Courtenay the list goes on and on. Will depend on the mood I'm in but when I do feel like reading I can go on for months without stopping and like to read several authors in one burst. never-u-mind (6500)
584244 2007-08-27 02:31:00 Robert Ludlum. :D wratterus (105)
584245 2007-08-27 04:40:00 I'm re-reading Germinal by Emil Zola at the time..I just finished Mila-18 by Leon Uris..which I read many many years ago in school.

They aren't the way I remembered them though...I think I needed a refresher.

584246 2007-08-27 04:41:00 Enjoy reading Kathy Reichs and Robert Harris novels. Currently reading Harris' Imperium. Story involves our very own Cicero ! Also recently read "Flying High: the story of the Eagles" Sam's Dad (11848)
584247 2007-08-27 22:54:00 10 years ago we were introduced to the DICK FRANCIS books. He was at one time the British champion jockey so most of his books include horse racing (which I am not the slightest bit interested in).

But his books are fantastic. Neither of us were able to put one down once started and we have consumed the lot.
