583474 2007-08-22 21:30:00 www.gamespot.com (scroll down the front page, should be near the bottom)

The only site I (used to anyway) trust. Their new review system and some of their points on the bioshock review suck (such as the glitch they mentioned)

583475 2007-08-22 21:43:00 I am glad I went with Steam now. The retail install can only be installed on ONE computer thanks to SecuROM protection and other stuff. I'm sure if you have a look at gamecopyworld or the like in a few weeks there will be a fix but for now Steam was the way to go :D

Stopped it yesterday and started it today and now 99% at 230kb/s

583478 2007-08-23 11:49:00 So Gamespot says that the *combat* part of the game is "no-skill-required". The review does also say that the game isn't a simple run-and-gun. I, for one, certainly am not looking for another one of those - I've already played through Doom, Quake, Call of Duty, Medal of Honour....etc. The things that make Bioshock not just another shooter are the reason that Gamespot still gave the game a very high review score. 583479 2007-08-23 18:41:00 Bioshock is much more than just combat  And I would say there is skill involved, by the fact that you have so many options to kill the enemies (guns, plasmids, traps etc) for example I was playing the demo lastnight (had no bugs or crashes with that...) and I could either use lightning bolt, fire ball, pistol, machine gun or wrench... my favorite (though I did try other techniques) was lightning bolt and wack 'em with the wrench :D And you can kill multiple enemies if they are in the water with one lightning bolt... it is all about tactics...

Yay today is the day I can get my Collectors Edition :D I have already held the standard version in my hands :D :p

583480 2007-08-23 21:51:00 The demo reboots my computer while trying to load the welcome to rapture level. Done it twice in a row. Trev (427)
583481 2007-08-23 23:44:00 It runs really well on my old puter AMD 2400, 2gigs ram, Asus Nvidia 7600 GS.
(Thanks DeaneF) No glitches or dropouts. :D
