761886 2009-04-03 06:41:00 I guess applying vlink should do that colour trick?

Nope - it's a:hover and a:visited.

761887 2009-04-03 10:58:00 I am currently doing a website for a family friend and I am having a problem...

If you have a look at the site here (stuartw.orconhosting.net.nz) (I am still building the site, so none of the link work) you will see their is a blue navigation bar with yellow link text,

The problem is when I do links in the white section of the site (The content area) (As you can see under “We are located at”), the links are also yellow (which is very hard to see!)

Want I would link to do is make the content (White area) link colour not yellow but another colour & also keeping the navigation bar links colour yellow.

Hope that’s makes sense :)

Can that be done??

Whats with those google ads at the top of the page? You may want to remove those, as they really spoil the website. If you are putting ads on a website, you are best to put them with the content, so to compliment the website, rather than sticking out like a sore thumb, like it currently does.:2cents:

They are not my google ads at the top of the site, their Orcon ads (They force them on to your site). (I am using Orcon Free hosting, which they discounted a while back)

761889 2009-04-03 21:03:00 Go with a cheapish host then, they only cost a few bucks a month really and you get much better support than your isp's server hueybot3000 (3646)

For what I use the hosting for, it’s not worth paying $$ a months for something I can get for free with an annoying ad at the top of the page.

761892 2009-05-11 12:21:00 You could try

.style13 a {color:red}

Edit:..
relooking at your code you may also need this

a.style13 {color:red}

Do I have to use both
.style13 a {color:red} &
a.style13 {color:red} together???

761893 2009-05-11 12:24:00 nope, they're essentially the same thing

a being alink, i think just the formattin of your stylesheet just makes things messy

761894 2009-05-11 12:52:00 nope, they're essentially the same thing...

They're not the same thing at all. "a.style13" means "a link with the class 'style13'" (e.g. <a class="style13" href=...) ".style13 a" means "a link inside something else with the class 'style13'" (e.g. <div class="style13"><a href=...)
