You have obviously never run a business before, because if you had you would know that chasing up late payers to pay their bills requires a significant amount of work and resources . To right ! Then you normally get all the excuses under the sun to go with it . Yet those same people are often the ones to complain the most if the product they are having fixed was not ready yesterday . - Paying for it is another matter sometimes . Hell I got one persons PC here for a while now - lets say when he pays for the work done he will get it back - not when he feels like paying for it . You dont do the grocery shopping and say " I'll pay for it in two weeks , which is next pay day" |

You have obviously never run a business before, because if you had you would know that chasing up late payers to pay their bills requires a significant amount of work and resources . I am sure companies as big as telecom have people whose job is solely chasing up their late payers, which means wages to pay etc . Also the amount of interest lost on the money not being in their accounts on time, would amount to losses in the thousands . Obviously as you know so much about business you will understand that it is a very good idea to get the money in for something before you have to pay your supplier . Telecom are well ahead of the game in that respect . I'm sure as you are so wise in the ways of business you will realise that there are also advantages to having debtors . . . if not- how about you go to business school . Neither you or that Mac fanatic have any idea what I do, so don't make judgements to make yourself feel superior . |

How many days.....? Owing to a hic up at the bank when we transferred the money over to Telecom via Internet Banking, payment was one day after the due date, took 4 days to process from the bank to Telecom and we got strung with the late fee following bill. Operator made it quite clear the payment was late but finally convinced her to pass me onto a supervisor. Long story short, once it was proved that payment had been made on time and that there had been a problem at the bank, the late payment fee was refunded but we were issued with a memo that regardless of who is at fault in the future, any late payment charges will not be withdrawn. Note, regardless of who is at fault. CCC here in Christchurch charge 10% on top of the rates payment owing straight away regardless of whether the payment was made before the due date or not. It can take upto a week or more before they process the incoming payment made by internet banking and clear it from your account it seems. |

If it is a bank stuuf up, it wouldbe up to your bank to cover you late fee in the form of compensation. |

I would be very surprised if he had ever run a business before."Being that" you have either a very short attention span or a blinding mis-use of your mental faculties, you would glean from Shortcircuit's previous posts that he's a mature adult with a fair amount of business and commercial experience. [Disclaimer: no serious insult intended, winmac] |
