583004 2007-08-27 07:01:00 ANybody else have the problem with the Peel Me ad in Firefox 2.0.0.6?

THe problem is that, in the area that the ad would cover when peeled out, none of the links work.
e.g. I can't click on the link to Private Messages, the click here to subscribe online link and some of the links at the top of the page.

583005 2007-08-27 12:23:00 My browser gets to ads.hostingdirect.com and then stalls, and after about 5 seconds it then loads. I think it is something to do with the ad server that it is hosted on. Maybe the ad server people are using cheap hosting that my ISP doesn't have a good route to.

Block that site, and other advertisement sites with Opera. You can view ad server addresses by going to about:cache (enter this in Opera address bar). Anything that has "ad" etc is probably an ad server. You can spot more. Kill 'em all I say.

To kill them all, enter the addresses into Opera thus: Tools -> Preferences -> Content -> Blocked Content.

You can edit the site preferences (Tools -> Preferences -> Content -> Manage site preferences) so that the site doesn't look odd when the ads are removed. Bletch's CSS works fine. Just copy it and paste it.

Nope, I'm using Adblock Plus and FF 2.0.0.6 and its fine. Have you tried disabling Adblock and then re-enabling it? Sometimes a good restart is exactly what it seems to require...

583009 2007-08-27 22:03:00 As I have no idea to whom you are replying and as I do not happen to have pealing tools handy I will not manage to answer your question.

Sorry about that.
~If you were being sarcastic, please ignore this post~

What Wolfforrest meant by "peeling" is to hover your mouse over the advertisement. The resultant effect is that the advertisement would appear to be peeled.

Cheers :)
