761553 2009-04-01 08:20:00 Getting an error 51 \device\harddisk0\d page file error on a comp here running XP with an Nvidia sata controller everything is uptodate all drivers and bios. It has a AMD CPU, Albatron K8nf4x mobo and a seagate hdd, also a crappy Hyena PSU all about 3-4 years old. It has been running memtest 86 and passed everything, any ideas? Do you think something is about to die any suggestions. Sometimes it can take up to 20 mins to boot up other times it boots up normal, I can't seem to replicate the error that the owner keeps getting. Open to suggestions

:thanks

761554 2009-04-01 08:25:00 I would replace the PSU for a start

Here's info about it (support.microsoft.com)

761555 2009-04-01 08:32:00 just blue screened now to get it to boot and turn off auto restart gary67 (56)
761556 2009-04-01 08:49:00 Try going to device manager>go to Nvidia SATA controller properties>Unselect "Enable command queuing"

If that doesn't work. right click the hard drive in device manager, and uninstall.

Reboot.

761559 2009-04-01 18:43:00 Go to start/run. Type eventvwr

Error 51 shouldnt bluescreen. Look for the entry, double click on it, click on the icon under the down arrow and paste it here

761560 2009-04-01 21:37:00 3-4 Year old Hyena PSU and a system with problems? Why am I not surprised. Something is going to die and it's going to be the whole system if you don't do something about that piece of **** PSU.

Open that Hyena and it's gonna be full of bad capacitors.. Replace it and your problems should magically go away... unless it's already damaged the rest of the hardware

761561 2009-04-02 06:50:00 Well tried new power supply, brand new working, working ram, working video card all from this PC so I know they all work. Only leaves mobo and HDD both working in safe mode though gary67 (56)
