583391 2007-08-21 08:24:00 If you are worried about it affecting the quality of service, it won't. That's the beauty of the internet. As long as they aren't using servers over the opposite side of the world like Russia where we have really low connection speeds, its not going to make a difference to you. My email servers are in the US and I have not desire to use a local server.

If you are worried about privacy, it really is a personal thing. The jurisdictional differences don't bother me. People use Hotmail, GMail and other providers in the US all the time, so it obviously doesn't bother them either. If it does bother you, then why not just switch to a provider that does have servers in New Zealand.
