762528 2009-04-05 11:32:00 ...who uses it? Do you find it is real slow to open?

I just got home from looking at a computer with Outlook 2007 on it. Took 30 seconds to open
Does anyone else have the same experience. Did SOME reading online, some sites say the slowness of 2007 is normal.

Have even disabled all the plugins and still no difference

762532 2009-04-05 20:54:00 The odd thing about it was that the first time Outlook 2007 was opened, it took 30 seconds +. If you shut it, then opened it later (without rebooting) than it took only a few seconds. I had a look in prefetch, and it Outlook.exe was in there. So it is pre-loading. So why is it taking so long???

When I got round there, I was initially asked to add a hotmail address to it. Simple enough. Then I was asked to uninstall endpoint (Symantec) and install a new AV. Did that using cleanwipe. Installed Avast. I had opened Outlook before doing any of that, it wasn't as slow. SWMBO had been asked earlier in the day to do the hotmail thing (its one of her whanau) but she wasnt sure how. But she said that Outlook wasn't that slow on initial opening.

Then I was asked to do something else... nuh. Freebies go only so far
