762505 2009-04-05 10:50:00 I think one of my comps as a trojan just some weird traffic I have noticed.

I also noticed the scanner I use doesn't work any more so potentially all my machines are now open...

Can anyone recommend a scanner to replace the one I have that's not working any more

762506 2009-04-05 10:55:00 For realtime antivirus protection I recommend Avast! (www.avast.com), requires you to register (www.avast.com) free every 14 months

And keep 2 antispywares from the following list:

Spyware Terminator (www.spywareterminator.com)
SUPER AntiSpyware (www.superantispyware.com)
SpyBot S&D (www.safer-networking.org)

MalwareBytes and Trojan Remover are good for removing viruses quickly, but do not have realtime protection.

And if you have the money. get Eset Nod32. Best realtime AV on the market:D

762507 2009-04-05 12:44:00 Virus and Malware are covered just wanted a dedicated Trojan remover.
Windows Defender picked it up on the machine (why this is still running when I thought I had removed it is a question for another time) but Avast, Malwarebytes and spybot have not picked it up.

Then its a false positive. Windows Defender is the most useless program ever written.

i once wrote a program in Pascal that drew a turtle on the screen . . . . . . I think that was more useful than WD
