762381 2009-04-05 03:49:00 Hey my cousin has a Dell Dimension 2400 and he wants a second hdd and more ram in it.
Can it take a second hdd?
What is the maximum amount of ram it can have?

762382 2009-04-05 03:51:00 What's the motherboard and if it only has 32bit XP or Vista then it can only use about 3.5Gb of RAM anyway. According to this link here (support.dell.com) it only has one slot for a hard drive gary67 (56)

762387 2009-04-05 04:52:00 The dell 2400's have two cradles standing on their ends, the usual default factory HD is in the back cradle, you need to unscrew both cradles, theres the screw in the back cradle, and one UNDER the PC that has to be undone, remove the back cradle - then the front cradle will come out.

Just had 4 of the damn things in the workshop last week - geeeees any one would think I was the local Dell repair agent

They probably made it like that cause they wouldn't want anyone opening their PCs;):p
