584594 2007-08-25 23:25:00 This is still the old Telecom in the new era of internet and fast moving technology innovation so the answer would be YES. winmacguy (3367)
584595 2007-08-26 00:39:00 This is the new Telecom that doesn't want to be a power company as well. The potential problem isn't a new development. Even now there are houses with nothing other than mains powered cordless phones. PaulD (232)

VOIP and Skype isn't going to work without power either. Due to the recent outages with skype, I wouldn't put much faith in switching to a solely VOIP system due to the relibility of it.
Does naked DSL have to include access to the 111?

584601 2007-08-26 08:45:00 The funny thing is if the power ever went out in my house, I still wouldn't be able to dial 111. The only phones we have a cordless. I will make it a point to go buy a corded phone for emergencies. plod (107)
