584669 2007-10-12 12:10:00 I get it lightly on my Eyelids and i have a rather dose of it on my incredibly manly chest.

It's only mild so i don't use anything for it, as it doesn't bother me. Just gets intensely itchy at times.

I use to use bepanthen, and so do a couple of my friends and they along with me think it is awesome.

Eczema on the eyelids would drive me insane :horrified

I've been using QV cream lately & that works OK if I take my anti-histamine pills to stop the itch.

I've recently been told to stop eating peanut butter because that makes it worse. Seems strange to me, but I'll give it a try.

Yeah, it's one of those things that every person has a remedy for . There is HEAPS of different types of foods you can give up that apparently help it .

Most of it is bullocks though .

No it's not bullocks . I know of a number of people who are allergic to peanuts and other foods and when they stopped eating them their skin health improved dramatically .

One friend's husband is so allergic to peanuts that if he kisses her after she has eaten them he suffers a major allergic reaction . He ended up in hospital fighting for his life when a meal he ate had a few peanuts in it .

Another person I know who is allergic to peanuts discovered the hard way that he is also allergic to another kind of nut . He collapsed and had to be rushed off to hospital after eating just a few .

584674 2007-10-13 20:39:00 I have it mildly. So use 2 sorts of Lemnis Fatty cream (1 contains hydrocortisone and is used sparingly) from the doctors of course.
Also when showering I use Pinetarsel and a body lotion not soap.
Even so I still get itching on my lower legs but hate using Phenergan because of the after effects.

But one thing nobody else seems to have mentioned. Panadol tablets. If itching I use two at night and have no further problems and no after effects. Marvellous they are. No cure but the symptoms go! Suits me fine.

Eczema is a skin disorder, not an allergic reaction .

584676 2007-10-14 21:08:00 Eczema can be a symptom of an alergic reaction

From the Allergy New Zealand site (www.allergy.org.nz)

"What are the symptoms of an allergic reaction?
.....The symptoms of allergic reactions range from mild to severe to life threatening. They can be categorised according to the organs affected, which are:

• The skin: hives, eczema and facial swelling
• The respiratory system: symptoms can affect the nose (hay fever), throat (swelling) and lungs (cough, wheeze, bronchospasm)
• The gastrointestinal system: nausea, vomiting, stomach pains and diarrhea
• The cardiovascular system: feeling faint, weakness, pallor, floppiness (particularly in infants), and collapse."

[edit: You must be a bit dense to think you could get away with that. A quick google search using details from your profile finds you everywhere recommending various drugs and posting a link to the same website selling drugs, not to mention your attempt to use forum formatting to hide the fact you had a link in your post ... - Jen (Moderator)]
